Frequently asked

Can I use Aventerra and onX Offroad together?

Yes. Aventerra exports tracks, routes and waypoints as GPX and imports GPX and KML. onX Offroad's help centre documents importing waypoints, lines, shapes and tracks from other mapping programs.

Does onX Offroad cover Quebec trails?

onX Offroad states that its detailed trail and land layers are available in the United States and Canada. We did not verify its Quebec snowmobile or quad coverage on an official page. Aventerra's Quebec networks come from the MRNF, the FCMQ and the FQCQ.

Which SOS should I rely on?

Neither replaces 911 or a satellite messenger. onX SOS is a paid service that reaches a professional coordination centre over a cellular or satellite text. Aventerra's SOS reaches your group, friends or nearby app users, over the internet or the mesh, and does not reach emergency services.
