Boilerplate
Aventerra is a backcountry terrain intelligence and group safety app built by Aventerra Technologies Inc. in Quebec. It brings daily government snow and weather data, slope angle and 3D terrain, offline maps with on-device routing, and live group visibility over LoRa mesh radio into one app for snowmobilers, ATV and dirt bike riders, ski tourers, hikers and cyclists. Aventerra is available in French and English, is currently pre-launch, and opens to early-access members for winter 2026-27.
Founder
Simon Villiard is the founder of Aventerra. The idea was born in the truck, with his friends, on the way up to the Chic-Chocs for backcountry snowmobiling: an app everyone could use, accessible and compatible for all, to see your friends off the grid. He started the first prototype on his laptop during that drive.
He built Aventerra because no other existing app combines snow data, terrain information and offline group safety in one tool. He is an enthusiast who lives the problem, and the mission is simple: make the outdoors safer and more accessible for everyone who ventures far from cell coverage. Aventerra is based in Drummondville, Quebec.
Logo
The mark is a lattice peak; the wordmark is set in Bebas Neue and supplied as outlines. Every file has a transparent background. Pick the version made for your ground rather than recolouring one.

Using the logo
Give the mark room and use it as supplied. Leave clear space of at least half the mark's height on every side, shown as X below. Keep the mark at least 24 px tall on screen and 12 mm in print; any smaller and the lattice fills in.
Do
- Use the supplied files, at their proportions.
- Place the orange mark with a Night or Bone wordmark on a clear ground.
- Use one-colour white on photos and dark grounds, one-colour ink on light grounds.
- Keep the display mark for covers and large editorial images.
- Write the name Aventerra in running text, with a capital A only.
Don't
- Recolour the mark or the wordmark.
- Outline, stretch, rotate, or add shadows and glows to the flat mark.
- Retype the wordmark in another font or rearrange the lockup.
- Place the mark on a busy photo without a clear area behind it.
- Use the display mark small, inside text, or in single-colour print.
Colour
A dark, earthy palette with one orange accent. On light grounds, Rust takes Orange's place for text and buttons, where Orange is too light to read.
