Trails for your machine,
routed on your phone.

Quebec's snowmobile, quad and dirt bike networks on the map, with road bike networks beside them. Build a route and follow it with turn cards, all computed on the device.

How it works

01
Snowmobile trail networks over the basemap around Saint-Raymond, Quebec

Pick your activity

Choose snowmobile, ATV or dirt bike and the matching Quebec trail network appears, from the federations' own data. The layer follows your activity, and the road bike network works the same way.

02
Route builder with a computed route and its elevation profile

Build the route

Drop a start and a destination and the router finds a line over the trail graph for your profile: foot, bike, car, snowmobile, quad or dirt bike. Or describe the day in words and let Ask draft it.

03
Following a route on Quebec's trails, with a turn card for a right turn in 52 m at the top of the map

Follow it

Turn cards, an off-route banner and haptics keep you on the line. Routing runs on your phone, so it keeps working with no signal.

Sources / What it does not do

Sources
  • Motorized trails: Quebec MRNF, FCMQ (snowmobile) and FQCQ (quad and dirt bike).
  • Road bike networks: the trail data behind Aventerra's basemap.
  • Routing: on-device A* over Aventerra's trail graph. The Ask mode of the route builder uses Claude.
  • Community trails drawn by Aventerra users, with verification.

What it does not do
  • Motorized trail layers cover Quebec only. They are seasonal and the federations' access pass is required to ride them.
  • Routing works where the routing graph is published. Coverage grows region by region.
  • Turn cards, banner and haptics only. There is no voice guidance.
  • The companion watch app shows a breadcrumb and back-to-start, not turn cards.
  • Three saved routes on Free. Pro removes the limit.
  • ProUnlimited saved routes

Frequently asked

Is this just for snowmobilers?

No. Aventerra covers 10 activities year-round: snowmobile, ATV, side-by-side, 4x4, dirt bike, hiking, mountain biking, road cycling, climbing, and ski touring. Winter is where we started, but the terrain data, conditions, and safety features work everywhere you lose signal.

Does routing need a connection?

No. Routing is computed on your phone over the trail graph. Download the area and its routing pack comes with it.

What is the Ask mode?

Describe the ride in plain language and the route builder drafts a route for you to adjust. Ask needs a connection. Following the route does not.

See your group. Anywhere.

Each rider pairs a Meshtastic LoRa radio, and the whole group stays on the map with positions, chat and SOS over radio. When cell comes back, the internet takes over without you noticing.
